Affiliate disclosure
Last updated: May 22, 2026 · v1.3
The short version: some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and become a paying customer of that vendor, we may earn a referral fee. It never costs you more, and it never changes what we recommend.
What this means
RouterA2A writes about products we actually use and recommend to clients: routing gateways, model providers, workflow tools, vector databases, observability platforms, and so on. Some of those vendors run affiliate or referral programs. When we link to them, we may use a tagged URL so they know the lead came from us.
If you go on to become a paying customer, we may receive a one-time or recurring commission. This is at no extra cost to you — we don't add anything to your price, and you'll typically pay the same as you would going to the vendor directly.
What it doesn't mean
Affiliate fees don't influence whether we recommend a vendor. Specifically:
- We don't recommend tools we wouldn't use ourselves.
- We don't change a recommendation because a vendor has a more generous program.
- We don't accept payment in exchange for positive coverage in our build logs, guides, or audit reports.
- If we discover a vendor is no longer the best choice, we update the recommendation — even if the affiliate revenue goes away.
For paid engagements (Audit, Build Sprint, Governance), affiliate revenue plays no role in our recommendations. Any vendor selection that affects a client engagement is disclosed in writing, and the client has the right to choose a different vendor at any time.
Vendors with affiliate or partner programs we participate in
This list is updated as relationships start or end. As of the date above:
- Portkey — referral partner
- OpenRouter — referral partner
- Helicone — referral partner
- Langfuse — affiliate program
- Cal.com — affiliate program
- n8n Cloud — affiliate program
- Pinecone — referral partner
We do not currently have a paid affiliate relationship with Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, AWS, or any of the major model providers. Recommendations of those vendors are made purely on the merits.
How affiliate links are marked
Where reasonable, we mark affiliate links with a small "(partner)" tag or a footnote. We don't always tag every link — some are too dense in a paragraph to do that cleanly — but every link on this site to a vendor on the list above should be assumed to be an affiliate link unless otherwise noted.
Sponsored content
We do not currently publish sponsored content, sponsored build logs, or sponsored audits. If we ever do, every sponsored piece will be clearly labeled with the word "Sponsored" in the headline and metadata. We reserve the right to refuse sponsorship that conflicts with our recommendations or client interests.
Affiliate revenue use
Affiliate revenue is a small fraction of our business. It primarily offsets the hosting and tooling costs of publishing free resources (build logs, the checklist, the cost calculator). We'd rather earn from clients than from affiliates, and we structure our business accordingly.
Questions or concerns
If you ever feel a recommendation on this site is not the one we'd give a paying client, please write to us at hello@routera2a.com. We take that seriously.
This disclosure complies with FTC guidelines (16 CFR Part 255) on endorsements and testimonials in advertising. It's also just how we'd want to be treated as a reader.
